Selecting a Keyboard Type for the ICA Client

SUMMARY

This document demonstrates how to select a keyboard type in the ICA Client. This feature enables the use of localized keyboards with the server.

DIRECTIONS

1. From either the Windows Start Menu or the Windows Desktop, start "Citrix Program Neighborhood".

2. From the top toolbar, select "Tools", "ICA Settings...".

   

3. The ICA Settings menu appears. On the first tab is a label marked "Keyboard Layout". From the drop down menu beneath the label, select the keyboard type that best describes your keyboard.

   

4. Unless you are trying to match a Japanese keyboard, the next menu item, "Keyboard Type", should be left at the "(Default)" setting. For Japanese keyboards, select the best match for your keyboard from the "Keyboard Type" list.

5. Press "OK" to save your settings.

6. Close Citrix Program Neighborhood, and log onto the server as normal. Your keyboard layout settings should now be recognized by the server.
